Center for Women in Technology Scholars Program
Description
The Center for Women In Technology (CWIT) at the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) is a merit-based scholarship program for talented female undergraduates majoring in computer science, information systems, business technology administration (with a technical focus), computer engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical/biochemical/environmental engineering, or a related program at UMBC.

CABAA Financial Scholarship
Description
Multiple $8,000 scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors graduating in 2024 or current college-level students seeking a degree in aviation. Scholarship funds will be made out to both the student and their university, to be used to pay tuition or fees for aviation specific programs. Preference is given to Chicagoland area residents/students.
Application Criteria
Major in an aviation-related field like aerospace engineering, air traffic control, aircraft maintenance, aviation administration/management, aviation flight, etc. Demonstrate commitment to aviation and a desire to work in the business aviation field Have at least a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale Include an unofficial high school or college transcript copy Submit a typed essay, double-spaced, maximum of 1,000 words answering: ~ What is your outlook on an aviation career? ~ How would this scholarship help you get your start in a career in business aviation? ~ How will this scholarship help you achieve your goals? Include at least three letters of recommendation (other than relatives or students) ~ At least one recommendation letter from an individual currently involved in business aviation outside of your professors is preferred.
Open Your Eyes Vision Council Scholarship
Description
The Open Your Eyes Vision Council Scholarship is open to students at Cuyahoga Community College District. Students pursuing a degree in optical technology are encouraged to apply. Minority students receive special consideration.
Application Criteria
– Minimum 2.50 GPA – Resident of the U.S. – Attending Cuyahoga Community College – Seeking an associate degree in optical technology Preference is given to historically underserved populations.
West Virginia Department of Transportation
Description
Scholarship is open to West Virginia residents who will be entering their junior year of college or second year of law school. Applicant must be enrolled in a Civil Engineering, General Engineering, Computer Sciences, or Accounting baccalaureate degree or Juris Doctorate degree at a state accredited college or university. Applicant must have at least a 2.5 GPA.
Application Criteria
To be eligible for one of these scholarships, an applicant must: Be enrolled in a Civil Engineering, Accounting baccalaureate degree, or Juris Doctorate degree at a state accredited college or university Be entering at least the junior year of college in the eligible degree program or second year of law school Be a West Virginia resident Have a minimum over all (cumulative) college grade point average of 2.50 on a 4.00 scale Be a Division of Highways Co-op in good standing for at least one year Agree to work for the WV Division of Highways immediately following the date of the receipt of an eligible degree Complete and file an application by the established due date as well as comply with all other requirements adopted by the Commissioner of Highways

School of Environmental and Forest Sciences Scholarships
Description
Due to our generous donors, the School of Environmental and Forest Sciences has a robust undergraduate scholarship program for BSE and ESRM majors. Scholarships range from $2,500 to $10,000, depending on the applicant pool and match with funds available each year. These funds are awarded based on merit and/or need (as indicated by the FAFSA or WASFA).
Application Criteria
Eligibility for Scholarships Declared in the BSE or ESRM major and completed at least 30 college credits (can include transfer credits). A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. The FAFSA or WASFA must be completed to be considered for scholarships that require financial need. You must maintain full time enrollment (12 credits) for the quarters that you receive the scholarship. Note: Incoming freshmen and graduate students will not be considered for these scholarships Criteria for Scholarships The SEFS Scholarship Committee uses the following criteria to determine awards: Financial need (required by some scholarship funds at SEFS) Academic performance (merit) Personal statement (up to 500 words) addressing area of study and future goals.
IIAR Founders’ Engineering Scholarship
Description
The IIAR is a technical association comprised of engineers, end users, contractors, and manufacturers working in the natural refrigeration industry. The organization and its membership develop ANSI-approved safety standards, technical publications, and educational materials to support refrigeration professionals and their use of natural refrigerants.
Application Criteria
Open to Juniors attending a 4-year accredited engineering college. The industrial refrigeration industry is a multi-disciplinary field which offers exciting job opportunities in virtually all engineering fields of study, including but not limited to: Mechanical, Electrical, Civil and Environmental, Industrial and Manufacturing, Agricultural, and Chemical Engineering, as well as Computer Science, Automation, and Mechatronics. Engineers working in the industrial refrigeration industry have the opportunity to help address the urgent issue of climate change and reducing greenhouse gas emissions by applying environmentally friendly natural refrigerants in energy efficient refrigeration and heat pump systems. Applicants must be pursuing a degree in one of these fields and have a proven interest in applying their skills in the commercial and industrial refrigeration industry using natural refrigerants Must have completed 45 semester credit hours (or equivalent) or 90 quarter credits at the time of application. Must hold a minimum 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) towards an engineering degree.
