Who Can Apply (Eligibility)
- Enrollment Status: High school seniors, community college students, undergraduate, graduate, or post‑graduate students enrolled at an accredited U.S. educational institution (including universities, colleges, and community colleges). Students accepted for future enrollment are also eligible.
- Independent Applicants: Students not currently enrolled but actively pursuing STEAM or entrepreneurial projects may apply. Provide evidence such as a portfolio, website, demo, or mentor reference.
- Field of Interest: Demonstrated interest in STEAM entrepreneurship (science, technology, engineering, arts or mathematics combined with innovation and business).
- Personal Qualities: Leadership potential, creativity, integrity, and a commitment to positive impact.

Required Essay (700–1000 words)
Prompt:
“What inspired your interest in STEAM, and how do you plan to use your technical and business skills to create positive change in the workplace?”
Your essay should highlight your passion for innovation in STEAM, your problem-solving mindset, and your technical expertise. You may include aspects of your diverse background and CV, and share both the challenges and opportunities that have shaped your journey. Explain why you deserve this scholarship and how your knowledge and experience can make a real impact in the workplace.
Selection & Notification
Applications are reviewed for originality, clarity of STEAM vision, and potential for real workplace or societal impact. The recipient will be notified by email.
- Winner Travel Award: IOScholarships STEAM Innovation Summit
The scholarship winner will be provided round‑trip economy airfare and hotel accommodations to attend the IOScholarships STEAM Innovation Summit. Travel will be coordinated by IOScholarships with at least 30 days’ notice and taken on the dates of the event.
- Standard hotel room (up to 2 nights, single or double occupancy) at a hotel selected by IOScholarships.
- Incidental expenses (meals, ground transportation, baggage fees, visas/passports, upgrades, and personal purchases) are the recipient’s responsibility.
- Travel is non‑transferable and has no cash value. Alternate arrangements for accessibility needs will be reasonably accommodated.
- If the recipient is under 18, a parent/guardian must provide consent for travel and publicity.
Terms & Conditions
Eligibility & Disqualification
- Applicants must meet the Eligibility requirements above. Employees, contractors, and relatives of IOScholarships or its partner organizations are not eligible.
- Submissions must be original, truthful, and free of AI‑generated plagiarism; IOScholarships may use industry‑standard tools to verify originality.
Review & Decisions
- Applications are evaluated by the IOScholarships Selection Committee on originality, clarity of STEAM vision, and potential impact. Committee decisions are final.
- One recipient will be selected and notified by email.
Recipient Requirements
- Recipient will provide a recorded acceptance speech (video) and a written transcript within 14 days of notification.
- By submitting materials, recipient grants IOScholarships a non‑exclusive, royalty‑free, worldwide license to use their name, likeness, and submitted content for promotional and educational purposes related to the scholarship and summit.
Privacy & Data Protection
- Personal information is collected solely to administer the scholarship and will not be sold or shared with third parties.
Intellectual Property - Applicants retain ownership of their submissions.
- By applying, applicants grant IOScholarships permission to display excerpts or full versions of submitted essays, with attribution, on its website and social channels.
Employment Disclaimer
- Participation in this scholarship and attendance at the IOScholarships STEAM Innovation Summit do not constitute an offer or guarantee of employment or internship with IOScholarships or any affiliated organization.
